The Hydrautomat is a device that was invented by Thomas Gaskell Allen in the 1920s. It is essentially a water-powered water pump, that pumps water using both air and water pressure.

The device is very simple in principle, and is easy to construct. The same principles that power the Hydrautomat also power Hero's Fountain.
